Durango 9-R Student Nutrition Services is committed to enhancing our students' education by providing nutritious and delicious meals with pride. Our successful Farm to School program helps support our area's farmers while fulfilling our goal to serve fresh, wholesome school meals.
How it works: The District establishes contracts with local farmers who then provide fruits, vegetables, and beef. When available, our students are eating locally grown mixed greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, potatoes, zucchini, squash, carrots, herbs, onions, cherry tomatoes, and radishes.
Farmers: The 2021-2022 Invitation for Bid is due by 2:00 pm on April 21, 2021. After you have reviewed the information provided in the documents linked below, if you have questions feel free to contact Coordinator of Student Nutrition, Krista Garand at 970-259-1630, extension 2042, or via email email@example.com
