Impact Sustainability Measures

Impact Career Innovation Center was completed with funding from the 4A Bond in December 2023. The building has several features that align with Collaborative for High Performance Schools (CHPS) standards. CHPS is a nonprofit organization that works to ensure all PK-12 students have access to environments that support learning and wellness.

School facilities constructed or renovated using CHPS high performance building criteria are more energy- and water-efficient, and make a difference for students, teachers, and communities. Learn more about some of our school's CHPS-certified features by clicking the buttons below. If you're currently at Impact, see if you can spot the features while you're walking around the facility.

Durango School District 9-R demonstrates a commitment to the responsible stewardship of community resources through transparent and measurable sustainability strategies that:

  • Promote healthy and safe learning environments,
  • Facilitate energy and resource conservation within District operations,
  • Are fiscally responsible, and
  • Invite engagement and collaboration with stakeholders.
