School-Based Health Center - DHS
Durango School District and Pediatric Partners of the Southwest have partnered to provide a fully functioning Health Center at Durango High School. All primary care services including behavioral health are offered at the Health Center during business hours Monday-Friday during the school year, with summer hours offered as well. Students will be billed for services provided in accordance with any insurance benefits. A sliding fee scale is offered for those students who qualify.
School-based health centers offer health care services in a familiar environment with less time out of class for students, and less time away from work for parents.
