Spanish teacher Trish McManus and art teacher Bonnie Ward, who have both been teaching at Shared School for over a decade, were celebrated for their dedication to the school.
Shared School 6th grade student Moses Huggins was recognized for his upbeat attitude, wonderful sense of humor, and his willingness to include other students in activities. Dylan Livingston, a 3rd grade student at Shared School, was also recognized for her positive and cheerful presence, and for always arriving happy and ready to learn.
Autumn Frickel, Janet Clements, Mark Servais, Savannah Styers, and Sabrina Cross were the staff members recognized at the board meeting for going above and beyond to serve students at Fort Lewis Mesa Elementary. Whether they help to cover administrative duties, support and implement Thinking Strategies, connect with students, or stay late to help tutor students, these Fort Lewis Mesa employees are always giving their all to make the school a great place to learn.
Fort Lewis Mesa 2nd grader Isabella Stewart was celebrated for being respectful and kind, showing great perseverance and a growth mindset. Hailey Woodworth, a 5th grade student, was recognized for always being a positive role model to other students, consistently demonstrating mindful behavior that is attentive, polite, and confident.
