A Round of Applause for Our August Bravo! Award Winners

Anne Monie
Anne Monie was nominated by fellow Sunnyside staff members Theresa Kassales and Melia Chavez.
In their nomination they wrote, "Ms. Anne is a dedicated and driven member of the Sunnyside staff! She is  concerned with student nutrition and has come up with unique and fun ways to encourage students to eat cafe food.  She started Wrap Friday where she played music. The students could eat breakfast, listen to music and get up and do a little dance. She talks to the students and asks what they would like to see served, knowing she is regulated by what she can serve. She wanted students to feel they have a voice. Anne made it her mission to bring Grab and Go breakfast to our school! It is a successful program and she has reached many students who wouldn't eat breakfast
otherwise
.
Many mornings when you walk in to the building, you will hear Ms. Anne joyfully singing. It always starts our day with a smile. We are all so fortunate that she is a part of the Sunnyside family."

Bri Dilley
Bri Dilley was nominated PE teacher Stacy Hendrickson at Animas Valley Elementary.
In her nomination, Stacy wrote, "I'd like to acknowledge Bri Dilley, our new Elementary Instructional Specialist. Bri has been back and forth between Animas Valley, Riverview and Needham this week to support teachers with the shift to the new district scoring criteria. She has been readily available to answer questions and provide support in whatever it is teachers need. Additionally, Bri offered her professional expertise in the classroom by helping me organize and set up my new health classroom. As a PE teacher moving into a shared role between the gym and classroom, her advice and guidance was incredibly helpful. Bri listened to what I wanted for my classroom and offered suggestions of procedures and classroom organization. Currently, I am recovering from surgery and I'm utilizing crutches and a wheelchair to get around. Bri helped me physically move tables, chairs, boxes and whatever I needed to get ready for the "Meet the Teacher" event and the start of school.  She deserves this Bravo award for being a team player and embracing her new role with enthusiasm, kindness and going the extra mile to help others."
