DHS Homecoming Parade
- Monday, Sept. 21, 6-7 p.m.
- Main Avenue: Buckley Park to the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad Train Station
The stars of DHS are taking over Main Avenue! DHS clubs and athletic teams will be joined by local elementary and middle schools with uniquely decorated floats, plenty of school spirit and candy for spectators.
With Main Avenue serving as the red carpet, parade watchers get to play paparazzi. Bring your cameras, cheer loudly and make our students feel famous. Flash photography is encouraged.
The parade begins at Buckley Park, 1250 Main Ave., and travels south to the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad Train Station, 479 Main Ave.
Homecoming Tailgate
- Friday, Sept. 25, 4:15–6:15 p.m.
- In front of Durango High School
Start your Friday night with the DHS Homecoming Tailgate! Students, families, alumni and community members are invited to gather before the big game for food, games and entertainment. DHS clubs will host booths and activities, making this a fun way to support students while catching up with friends and neighbors.
Come hungry, wear your Demon colors, and stick around for football.
Homecoming Football

- DHS vs. Doherty
After the tailgate, head into the stadium and cheer on the Demons as varsity football takes on Doherty.

- Adults: $7.95
- Students, military and seniors: $5.68

From Monday night’s red carpet on Main Avenue to Friday night under the stadium lights, there are plenty of ways for the whole community to celebrate. Come for the floats. Stay for the football. And get ready to make some noise for DHS!
