• Long-Range Planning Framework: Received a report from the Long-Range Planning Committee regarding recent work on school replacement, consolidation, and boundary planning framework.
• Superintendent Succession Report: Received the annual monitoring report for Operational Expectation (OE) 02 - Emergency Superintendent Succession.
• Portrait of a Graduate Review: Reviewed the report for RP-04 (Results Policy 4 - Portrait of a Graduate).
• Policy Governance Framework: Reviewed a new document titled Policy Governance and Communication Framework from the Superintendent that outlines the process for policy updates.
• Charter School Renewal: Reviewed the renewal framework for charter schools that will be used for the upcoming reauthorization of The Juniper School during this school year.
• Workforce Housing Update: Received an update on Workforce Housing Phase 2 from Chief Operating Officer Chris Coleman.
• Policy Edits: Made edits and changes to policies B/SR-06, OE-03, and OE-08.
• Thought Leaders Planning: Discussed Thought Leaders planning for the 2026-27 school year.
• Committee Bylaws Review: Reviewed bylaws for the Finance Advisory Committee and the District Accountability Advisory Committee.
• Proposed Legislative Resolutions: Provided input on proposed Colorado Association of School Boards resolutions for the upcoming delegate assembly and legislative platform, agreeing to put forth a resolution supporting workforce housing.
• Committee Reports: Shared reports from all Board committees.
• Board Work Plan Schedule: Reviewed the 2026-27 school year Board work plan and suggested meeting dates.

Actions taken by the Board

• Property Easements Approval: Approved driveway easements at the Sunnyside Elementary School property and sewer easements at the Three Springs Elementary School property.
• Committee Assignments: Assigned Board members to committees for the 2026-27 school year.
