We’re exploring a new way to support and celebrate DSD employees — through local business discounts.
Over the summer, the district will begin developing a regional staff discount program for the 2026-27 school year. The goal is to partner with local businesses to offer discounts and special deals for all district employees from August through May.
As we begin planning, we’re asking families to help identify any businesses that already provide teacher or staff discounts in our region — such as the existing discount at Durango Joes Coffee. We want to learn what’s already available and connect with those businesses about formally joining the program.
DSD hopes to compile a growing list of participating businesses this summer and launch the program in fall 2026 as a way to strengthen community partnerships while supporting the people who serve our students every day.
