CMAS testing is April 6-24

In April, DSD students will join students across the state in taking standardized tests in English language arts, math, science, and social studies. The Colorado Measures of Academic Success (CMAS) serves as a critical tool to ensure every child receives the support they deserve, while shining a spotlight on each student's academic growth.

How does CMAS benefit your child?

CMAS testing data helps our educators understand where a child is thriving and where additional resources may be needed. Your child's participation ensures that we have an accurate picture of how our schools are performing and are recognized for our successes and identified for support in areas where we may need help.

For families, the results offer clear insights into strengths to celebrate and areas where focused attention can lead to real growth.

Help your student feel 'test ready'

We want our students to feel confident and empowered throughout CMAS testing, so please join us in encouraging them to give their best effort as they take the tests. You can help your child feel "test-ready" by ensuring they:

  • Eat breakfast
  • Get plenty of sleep
  • Arrive at school on time

This year, our students have shown tremendous growth, and we are so excited for these results to reflect their hard work and dedication. Let's cheer on our students as they show off everything they've learned!

Questions about testing schedules?

The CMAS testing window runs Monday, April 6, through Friday, April 24. For specific scheduling questions, please reach out directly to your child's school or teachers.
