Ann said, "I've never met Mike, but twice a day I hear his cheerful voice on the radio when he arrives to drop off and pick up two of our special students. He doesn't just say "Hey, I'm here with your kids" (not that there's anything wrong with that). He goes an extra measure to make it fun and inviting by saying things like, 'I've got two gentlemen here for you.'
"Moreover, he is a daily reminder to me that I can either show up, do the job, check the box, and go home, or I can make it fun for those I serve and those who depend on me to show up to the best of my ability in ways that make others' jobs easier in these smallest details.
"Thanks, Mike. It's what we at DHS call The Demon Way."
