Students harvest and sell hydroponic produce in Escalante’s seed-to-sale learning project

Students harvested a bumper crop of basil and lettuce from their Fork Farms Flex Farming hydroponic system, then weighed, packaged, priced, and labeled it — all part of learning how sustainable food systems work and how to foster meaningful local business partnerships.

We’re grateful to Durango Natural Foods Co-Op for carrying this student-grown produce and helping our kids see the real impact of their hard work in our community.
