A message of gratitude from the Superintendent

This past week, I witnessed the extraordinary dedication that defines our district:

  • I saw our district office team thoughtfully planning to better support our safety and security efforts.
  • I watched our teachers and staff at Sunnyside Elementary create an amazing Thanksgiving meal where so many students and their families enjoyed breaking bread together.
  • I observed Miller Middle School students confidently leading other students through lessons they had designed to teach the DaVinci Principles.
  • And I spent time with our enthusiastic PoG Rockstars group — teachers creating tools to help support their peers in making the Portrait of a Graduate come alive in their schools.

These are just a few examples of why our district is an amazing place to learn and grow.

Over the Thanksgiving break, I hope you can spend time with family and friends, get some rest and relaxation, and remember what we all hold dear. I appreciate your support of our schools — more than words can express. Thank you!

With gratitude,

Karen
