Presented by Durango School District's Durango Native American Education Program and the Native American Parental Advisory Committee (NAPAC), the event will feature MC Pearson Tahuka (Juaneno, Seminole, San Juan Capistrano) and stick man Jessie Waskahat (Cree, Frog Lake, Alberta, Canada). Invited singers include CJ Murphy, Aaron Woody, Marcus Williams, and Dylan Jahr.
Schedule:
- Native American Arts Market: 12–4:30 p.m.
- Community Supper: 4:30 p.m., prepared and served by student members of the Native American Clubs at Durango High School and Durango Big Picture High School; fry bread fundraiser will be held throughout the day
- Round Dance and Market Continues: 5:30–11 p.m.
The event is open to the public, and all singers are welcome. It is a drug- and alcohol-free event.
