Sabra says, "Mrs. Dotson embodies both creative problem-solving and courageous leadership. When asked to be the Principal Designee for the day, she doesn't just accept the situation. Instead, she creatively seeks solutions and problem-solves for both staff and students.
Furthermore, she demonstrates courageous leadership by moving her day around to help us solve major behavior incidents, volunteers her lunches to go over expectations with those students struggling, and does daily check-ins with any other administrative staff on the days she is asked to lead the building. The positive impact of her work is evident in the inspiration and courage she brings to staff, in improved student performance and behavior, in a more collaborative school culture, and in increased parent involvement.
