Meet Frank Mutz, new Director of Facilities

Frank has been involved in facilities management and operations for more than 20 years and has managed an array of facility services at corporate, sports, and education facilities. He brings a unique perspective to facilities management, as his professional experience has involved providing services from both an in-house team as well as a contracted services partner.

Frank is responsible for providing direction and oversight for facility operations & maintenance, capital improvements and project management, environmental services, and landscape services, in addition to the array of traditional facility management activities. Frank organized and led a sustainability team comprised of both facility and landscape staff, implementing programs that have benefited schools, churches, and sports programs in California, Nevada, New York, and currently Florida.

In addition to Frank’s services in facility management, he has served as an educator, administrator, and coach for more than 25 years in both public and private education. Fun fact about Frank is he grew up with the Elway family, and he and his wife, Stacey, have been die-hard Bronco fans since 1983.

“I’m grateful to the Durango School District for this opportunity," Frank said. "I look forward to working with the district team members providing excellent services for our faculty, staff, students, and families."
