Increase to Health Insurance Premiums
Please note that insurance premiums for both the employee and employer are increasing this year beginning with the June 2024 paycheck.
District employees who elect health insurance through the district have not seen an increase to their premium since the 2019-2020 school year, as the district has covered any premium increases since then. This year, the premiums have increased 11%. The District Insurance Committee met in the spring and unanimously voted to split the premium increase between the employee (taking on ⅓ of the increase) and employer (taking on ⅔ of the increase). The District Insurance Committee is composed of members of DEA, DESPA and District Administration.
CEBT Self Enrollment Online April 22 - May 10
Enrollment for the 2024-2025 year will be completed online through the CEBT webpage (cebt.org/online-community). If you need your password reset please email [email protected]. Durango School District 9-R has a comprehensive benefits guide that can be found by visiting our webpage. Please note there ARE changes in rates to the employee and employer. If you do not make any changes to your benefits, your current elections will be automatically rolled into the new fiscal year. Keep in mind if you miss this deadline you will have 30 days from the first effective date of the new fiscal year, July 1, 2024, to make changes. Any changes made within that 30-day window must still be effective with that same July 1 effective date and thus any applicable cost difference will apply.
