In case we missed you at the session on the district-wide PD day, we have developed PoG Blueprints and a Field Guide designed to support teachers as you implement the use of blueprints, engage students in PoG portfolios, and foster student celebrations of their PoG in capstones.
Additionally, there is a course school staff can use as a guide and come back to over and over while implementing the blueprints, portfolios, and capstones throughout the year.
PoG Blueprints are our criteria for lifelong success.
Each class has a set of PoG wheels that will allow you to hone in on the specific competency being taught and that students will demonstrate. The PoG wheels have been assembled and were distributed to each campus.
We hope these are a meaningful and fun way to highlight the PoG as learning targets for teaching and learning. Badges are also being sent to out again this year to hand out as a celebration of PoG demonstrations.
Plan to focus on each competency for 6 weeks. Principals will continue to lead a kickoff at the beginning of the cycle and a celebration at the end. The schedule and much more is in the field guide.
