These are often tied to curriculum, and Portrait of a Graduate competencies, so students are learning while they are helping, turning their experiences into service learning projects.
AT DHS, and across the elementary schools, nearly every student is involved in a service learning project. A long term goal for the district is to have every student be engaged in a service learning/community service project, each year they are in school.
