Technology Tip: Before You Buy, Call the IT Department:

Network access is limited to District owned devices and enrollment into our systems that allow that access is often handled by the vendor. Devices purchased outside of IT Department channels often skip this essential enrollment and require local enrollment that can take several days depending on the type and quantity of devices being enrolled. Ordering through the IT Department will help ensure that new devices are enrolled in the MDM to access the network and expedite their use.

Nearly all software these days needs access to data. Sometimes that’s a quick and easy turnaround using systems like Clever, sometimes it’s a much more detailed, difficult, and lengthy integration process. Either way, it’s best to work with IT early in the process to make the adoption as simple, easy, and sustainable as possible.
