Her kind words and support meant so much for him and helped him to regulate his emotions and enjoy the remainder of his time with his friends on the ride home.
It was also brought to my attention that Lisa makes birthday treat bags for the students on her route. She also gave each child a Valentine's day treat and has been known to even sprinkle confetti to help students celebrate various holidays and events throughout the year. That is confetti that she has to clean up herself at the end of her route, when she has plenty of other things that I'm sure she has to do! We are lucky to have bus drivers and other support personnel that take the saying "it takes a village to raise a child" to heart and I am extremely grateful for Lisa being another positive role model for my child and his peers who ride her bus.
