“Nate works one on one with a student of great trauma. Nate's kind and professional manner is so extraordinary with this boy. This is a student who is often violent when dysregulated. Realizing the need for activity to regulate emotions, Nate, who is a Durango Devo coach, has this student riding a bike with him as a reward for a safe body at school. Nate is working to build academic skills as well as emotional regulation skills with this student. When I asked the student what he wanted to be the other day, the student said he wanted to be a teacher and a bike coach. I said that sounded like Mr. Nate and the student agreed he wanted to be Mr. Nate when he grows up. Nate truly goes above and beyond is highly deserving of a Bravo award!”
