Grants, Gifts, and Donations

Grant applications are now only processed through an online system.  The system is set up so that the applicant must complete the Grant and Gift Application Checklist form online and upload the grant narrative, budget, and budget narrative to the application.

Once the application is submitted, the grant approvers (department heads in the district) will review it for completeness and accuracy.

All grant requests must be received two weeks prior to the grant deadline (i.e. if you are applying for a DEF Grant this year, the date your application must be in the portal is April 3, 2017).  Once final district approval has been obtained, the applicant will be notified via email at which time the grant application may then be submitted to the Grantor by the applicant.

Note that all grant checks are to be made payable and sent to: Durango School District 9-R, 201 E. 12th Street, Durango, CO   81301, Attn: Accounting Manager.

Applicants for DEF Core Academic Grants: The deadline to submit Core grants through the 9-R review process is April 3, 2017. Required documents to upload: DEF cover form, narrative, and budget. For any requested item costing more than $300, a copy of a written cost quotation is also required. You must request an invitation to submit a grant from DEF, and then let DEF know at 9RFoundation@gmail.com when you are submitting it for 9-R review. You do not need to submit the grant separately to DEF. Find the form and full instructions at www.DurangoEducationFoundation.org. For other DEF grant types, please refer to the DEF website for processes and deadlines.

EXAMPLE:

To access a worksheet of the Grant and Gift Application Checklist, click below.   Do not submit a hard copy of the worksheet as part of your grant application.  Only the online grant application will be accepted.
