Tracy began her career with Durango 9-R in 2002 as an Educational Support Staff Substitute, working in various positions at Fort Lewis Mesa Elementary. She became a permanent Durango 9-R employee in January 2004, assigned as Dishwasher at Miller Middle School. Tracy joined the cafeteria staff at Escalante Middle School in October 2005, and was promoted to the Cafeteria Manager in August 2008. Tracy now oversees two Cooks and one Dishwasher.
Tracy is proud of the Food Services program and the Farm-to-School foods that are provided to our students. Tracy shared that she enjoys feeding and interacting with the students and staff at Escalante. Tracy and her hard-working staff prepare delicious food for their students, which includes a daily second line of lunches. Tracy's favorite menu items are tacos with beans, chips, and salsa. She also prepares special taco salads for the gluten free students.
Tracy's hobbies include baking, camping, crafts and embroidery, and wood working.
Fun fact: Tracy is a dedicated 4-H volunteer!
