We affirm that all community students have the right to safe passage to and from school, regardless of their immigration status, background, or identity, and this right must never be compromised.
Our schools, and the routes students travel to reach them, must remain safe, welcoming environments for learning and belonging. We uphold the principle that schools should be protected areas, a concept that reinforces the shared responsibility for student safety across every level of government and community.
Learning cannot happen when students live in fear. We will continue to relentlessly advocate for the safety, dignity, and humanity of all children in our community.
