This is a significant leadership milestone, and we’re thrilled to see one of our own take on this important role in a neighboring district.
Dylan has been a dedicated member of Durango School District since 2013, serving as a Principal, Assistant Principal, Executive Director of Curriculum, Instruction & Assessment, and most recently as Chief Academic Officer. His leadership has shaped instructional strategy, data-informed decision-making, and countless improvements in teaching and learning. His deep understanding of both classroom realities and system-level strategy will no doubt serve Bayfield well.

Connell shared a message for Durango School District staff: "My dear Durango staff and students, as I embark on a new chapter after more than 10 wonderful years, please know the depth of my appreciation for each of you. I am immensely proud of what we've accomplished together in nurturing academic excellence. Thank you for the joy of our shared journey, for the countless treasured moments, and for embodying the innovative spirit that will continue to inspire me in all my future endeavors.
