"State of the District" meetings will help guide our schools' future

Superintendent Dr. Karen Cheser invites everyone – students, staff, families, community members – to listen and contribute to the ever-evolving story of Durango School District 9-R. Twelve meetings in March and April will be spread across our schools. Board of Education members and other school and district leaders also plan to be in attendance.
The event will include:

* An overview of the district’s vision and strategy
* Celebration of the district’s good news and each school’s successes
* Sharing goals for the future from our Long-Range Planning Committee
* Describing the district’s specific facilities and funding needs
* Gathering feedback from attendees and encouraging engagement

The following dates, times and locations are available to attend this presentation. The content and format will be the same at each event, but everyone is welcome to attend more than one meeting.

* Wednesday, March 13, 6:45-7:45 p.m. at Durango High School
* Monday, March 25, 5:00-6:00 p.m. at Florida Mesa Elementary School

* Wednesday, March 27, 5:00-6:00 p.m. at Fort Lewis Mesa Elementary School
