Superintendent's Parent Advisory Council

Our schools, leaders, and Board of Education are committed to actively engaging students in strong instruction focused on our Colorado Academic Standards, intervening for students who may need help, and caring for students’ social-emotional welfare.  As someone who has worked in other states, I can assure you that our teachers, staff, and leaders are the best  in the country.  I have been very impressed! We know we can always improve. Over the coming months, we will provide information about how you might be involved in developing our district-wide shared vision.  We also invite you to participate in our Superintendent’s Parent Advisory Council, open to any parent or guardian in our district.  The Council will meet once a month to celebrate strengths of our schools and also to identify areas in which we can grow, planning projects to support our district. If you are interested in participating on the Council, please complete the form at the following link: https://forms.gle/JQqC8G668eWCJrcc8

Thank you, again, for welcoming me to the wonderful Durango community.  I am always open to hearing your ideas and concerns, and to answer questions.

Sincerely,

Dr. Karen Cheser
