One Employee with Antibodies Tested Positive for COVID-19 in District-wide Screen

The employee had been in quarantine since originally testing positive in early July. While not contagious any longer, the employee will continue to quarantine.
The district is working with Cedar Diagnostics, San Juan Basin Public Health, and local medical experts to provide rapid testing to any employee or student who may have symptoms of COVID-19. This, along with the strict cohorting of students and staff in the school district, as well as the safety precautions in cleaning, mask wearing, and social distancing, will significantly reduce the transmission rates throughout all the campuses in the district.
Opening the school district COVID-19 free is critical, and the school district continues to seek partnership from families to support the safety measures in place.  That includes following the three W's both at school and when in the community, which includes:
  • Wear your mask
  • Wash your hands
  • Watch your distance
Additionally, keeping your student home if they are exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19 will help reduce the risk of possible exposure and quarantine, but may also reduce the time a student would have to be in remote learning. We are asking that all families also complete the online Student Health Screen Form to ensure compliance with state and local regulation, and the safety of all students and staff.
The following flow chart explains the process the district is using to guide the needs for isolating or quarantine as well as a family checklist for when to stay home.
Thank you for continuing to support these safety measures, which will ensure we have a safe and productive school year!
