Volunteers needed for FIRST LEGO League competition Nov. 15

The competition challenges students to collaborate, think critically, and solve real-world problems through robotics and innovation — but it can’t happen without volunteers like you!

So far this year, only one of seven judging positions has been filled, and the event is just a couple of weeks away. Judges, referees, timekeepers, and scorekeepers are vital to ensuring a fun, fair, and inspiring competition. All volunteers must be at least 15 years old, and no prior experience is necessary — training, support, and lunch will be provided, and you'll be part of an enthusiastic, rewarding team!

Volunteer roles needed:

  • Judges: Help evaluate team projects and presentations.

  • Referees: Oversee robot game matches and ensure fair play.

  • Scorekeeper: Operate the event scoring system, enter and post match results, and keep rankings accurate and visible.

  • Timekeeper: Run the match clocks, cue starts/stops, and keep rounds on schedule.
