A Round of Applause for Our February Bravo! Award Winners

 
Lorenzo Albo, Custodian at Durango High School.
The Bravo! Award for the week of February 12th went to Lorenzo Albo, custodian at Durango High School. He was nominated by Activities and Athletics Administrative Assistant Ann Duft.
 
In her nomination she wrote, "I'd like to nominate Lorenzo Albo on Carol Queen's maintenance team here at DHS. I know the maintenance crew across the district is doing great things in removing all the ice and snow this winter; he's the one I see at 6:35 in the dark morning throwing salt and cracking the ice by hand until the sidewalk is clear and dry. He's hard-working, dedicated, takes pride in his work, and always greets everyone with a smile. He's a true asset to the DHS staff!"

Carl Pederson, Security Specialist at Escalante Middle School.
The Bravo! Award for the week of February 20th went to Carl Pederson, Security Specialist at Escalante Middle School. He was nominated by 9-R Bus Driver Melanie Douglas. 
 
In her nomination she wrote, "I would like to nominate Carl Peterson for the Bravo! Award. He is out every morning directing traffic at Escalante Middle School. This is a great help for the busses, and assists them in getting and out of the school parking lots. Carl always has a smile and a wave to brighten our day."

J'Lynn Lewis, Senior Administrative Assistant in the Exceptional Student Services (ESS) Department
The Bravo! Award for the week of February 26th went to J'lyn Lewis, Senior Administrative Assistant in the Exceptional Student Services (ESS) Department. She was nominated by the ESS team.
 
In their nomination they wrote, "The ESS Department would like to nominate J'Lyn Lewis for a Bravo! Award. J'lyn is the heart of our ESS family. Anyone who has a question about ESS, from teachers to service providers, to administrators, can reach out to J'lyn for support. She is continually seeking out more knowledge about the many different branches of ESS by gathering information from conversations and connections across the district and state.  

Her calm professionalism helps us stay the course, and in any situation, she's quick to investigate solutions. J'lynn supports not only our department but everyone on the 9-R Team. She is committed to nurturing the spirit of doing what's best for kids by being a creative source of compassion and expertise in any situation. 

J'lynn takes time to make each of us feel special with personalized notes, inspirational decorations, and she always has healthy snacks and chocolate for us. With a smile and a joke, J'lynn offers encouragement in just the right way. We are so thankful that she's a part of our team."
