Therefore, the Board selected the highest and best bid for the building, with the Durango Fire District, which would accomplish these goals. This project will provide much-needed safety services, as well as educational and community facilities. We have been in negotiations with the City of Durango for the City to purchase Buckley Park. Also, we are collaborating with both the City and the Fire District as we ensure that there is no intent to cut down trees and that Buckley Park can be used for generations to come.
