Visitor Management System
Visitor Management System
- Durango School District 9R utilizes a visitor check-in system at each of its schools to manage and monitor visitors, ensuring a safer environment for students and staff. The system is designed to help schools keep track of who is entering and leaving, screen visitors for potential security risks, and enforce access protocols efficiently.
- Visitors will be requested to provide a state-issued ID. This will be used to create a user account for you in our system. The visitor's information is checked against various databases, including the national sex offender registry, to identify any potential risks. Custom alerts can also be set up or individuals with restricted access or specific safety concerns.
- The system logs a visitor's details and maintains a digital record, providing a detailed history of everyone who has entered the school. In case of an emergency, the system can be used to account for visitors on-site.
- Visitor badges will be printed, identifying your purpose for visiting the school and will include your photo. This badge must be worn visibly to indicate that the individual has been screened and approved.
- These increased safety measures are meant to streamline the process for our visitors and our school staff as well as continue to increase the safety of our students.
- If you have questions about our new visitor management system, please call us or email us at [email protected].
