Christy Martinez Castaneda

Christy first began her career with Durango 9-R in September 2009 as a Dishwasher at Escalante Middle School, followed by a Cook position at Park Elementary.  Christy was promoted to her current Needham Cafeteria Manager position in August 2016. 

 

Besides her role as the Needham Cafeteria Manager, Christy also serves on the 9-R Safety Committee. Christy loves cooking for the students at Needham Elementary.  She is proud of the fact that she plays an important role in the education of our youth.

 

Christy's favorite menu item is Mandarin Chicken because her students love it.  Outside of work, Christy enjoys reading and spending time with her family, reading, singing, dancing, and gardening.

 

Fun fact:  Christy uses her creative skills to make her own lotions, hair products, etc.!
