Janice Coleman

Janice began her career with Durango 9-R in March 2007 as a Partner in Education Aide at Park Elementary.  She joined the Food Service department in October 2011.  

 

Janice has an Associates degree in Civil Drafting.  Besides her role as the Riverview Elementary Cafeteria Manager, she serves as the DESPA Treasurer, and is a member of the Education Support Staff Negotiations Team and the 9-R Insurance Committee.

 

Janice is proud to play a part in helping students learn better by feeding them a nutritional breakfast and lunch.  Janice features a full salad bar daily as well as a fun Flavor Station.

 

Outside of work, Janice enjoys reading, sewing quilts, and quiet time at home.

 

Fun fact:  Janice won a Grand Champion award at the La Plata County Fair for her Cheesecake!
