Reading Plus
Reading Plus provides a web-based, computer-adaptive assessment called InSight, designed to measure three essential dimensions of silent reading: capacity (comprehension and vocabulary), fluency (comprehension-based silent reading rate), and motivation. It dynamically adjusts the difficulty of items based on student performance, providing a personalized learning path.
The program also includes instructional components such as the following:
-
SeeReader: An intelligent web-based eReader that allows students to read and analyze increasingly complex texts, using a guided window to improve fluency and stamina.
-
ReadAround: The vocabulary section where students engage with and master vocabulary words.
-
iBalance: Supports the development of visual and perceptual skills related to reading, including visual perceptual span, visual memory, and left-to-right scanning.
