Gifted and Talented
Task Force
Superintendent Mary Barter established the
Gifted and Talented Task Force to improve the district's
services for gifted-and-talented students. The task force's
charge will identify:
- Existing opportunities, services, and programs for
gifted students in the district.
- Research and “best practices” about teaching
and learning for gifted students.
- The current program’s effectiveness, including
gaps in services or areas needing improvement.
- Recommendations to improve the program.
The task force convenes during the 2007-08 academic year.
