Durango School District 9-R is a high-performing school district located in the Four Corners region of southwest Colorado. The district, serving nearly 5,000 students, includes seven elementary schools, two middle schools, and a comprehensive high school. All the schools were completely renovated in 2004.

The Board of Education is seeking an innovative and collaborative leader with a proven track record of educational leadership. The Board is looking for a candidate who will build on current initiatives and work with the community to provide quality learning opportunities for our students.

Surrounded by the beautiful southwest Colorado Rockies, Durango is a sophisticated and growing community that offers a high quality environment in which to live and work. The region provides many cultural and educational opportunities (including a four-year college) as well as an abundance of family-oriented recreational activities.
